I know this picture has popped up probably more than this one time but I can’t help it.  This is what I see when photographing kitsch that is lurking around Allee’s office.  No matter where I go, I have a kitty following me around.  I don’t think she was pleased with me that I was using her little house as a backdrop.

This makes me jealous.

Of course, I will never get tired of looking at my little Nibbles, who is nuzzling up against my mouse pen as I type this. She has a very stylish bowl to eat out of, though nothing as elaborate as this fabulous 50s hand painted chip ‘n dip bowl.

Conceptually I love bowls like this. But there’s never quite enough room for the chips or the dip unless the hostess is on constant bowl patrol.

Of all the food painted on here it’s the shrimps that kill me. I also have no idea what’s painted in the ”n dip’ bowl.

I´m so in love with Nibbles, never enough pics of her!

The bowl reminds me a bit of Cermica Bassano. I don´t know if those typical italian ceramics are known in the US. They use to make plates, bowls and other stuff that comes shaped like food.
It´s not all vintage, but I´m crazy for their ceramics and it´s not even expensive, though handmade.

Everytime I´m in italy I buy a few pieces. Here are two examples:
