Homemade Jarhead Santa

I rescued this Santa made out of a jar from a flea market or yard sale or estate sale or something.  Nobody else wanted him but I thought he was great.  I guess you could put candy in his head and give him as a gift.  Looks like an old towel or wash cloth or something was sacrificed to make Santa’s beard and fuzzy suit.

See, he is made of a baby food jar or something.

I’m in love with Santa, at least this particular one. The little pieces of towel and those sad little arms made out of felt with 2 different size hands are killing me. And the fact that his head is made out of a jar, kitsch genius.

Love stuff like this. I grew up making homespun stuff and this is just great…since it’s only his torso, maybe he supposed to be popping out of a chimney? That or he is the sideshow chicken lady freak santa…
