Sometimes when I am walking around “Willis Wonderland”, I’m not always able to ask questions. If I did, I would drive Allee crazy and besides, that’s the fun of these posts, Allee’s commentary on each one! So I was amazed when I found out that this picture IS NOT of Allee, it’s her Mom, Mrs. Willis. I swear when I saw this picture I thought it was Allee. I’m pretty big on family and am especially close to my own Mom and Dad. I felt that Allee’s Mom deserved a tribute here. If it wasn’t for you Mrs. Willis……….well, you all know the rest.

Here’s my comment on this photo when it first appeared in the background of another post you made: That’s not me in the photograph. It’s my mother in 1963 sitting with the bust as well as its mate that I’m eternally on the lookout for on eBay. The transistor radio on the shelf in front of the photo was my very first radio that I bought, I think in 1958, with my allowance money. It’s a little Sony and still plays perfectly. It’s what I listened to music on for at least 15 years so it’s very important to me as look where that all led! https://www.alleewillis.com/discography/index.htm“…….

I’m very emotional over your mother’s day posts.

I look at this picture and it makes me wish I could tell your mother how I grateful I am for her bringing a wonderful person into the world and how her daughter touches so many lives and does so many good things.

    Happy mother’s day Mrs. Willis.
