Can someone please explain to me why this would even be considered practical? Even so, I think it’s an amazing piece of smoking kitsch.

This is BRILLIANT! I want one NOW. I LOVE the idea of an ashtray being attached to the cigarette or whatever it is that’s dangling from ones lips. Must be heavy on the lips though.

I bet this was marketed towards secretaries or housewives who smoked while htey typed, filed or ironed the families clothes.
