i took the fish photo at an auction in flint, mi though it wasn’t in the auction. it’s 12″ wide and painted on ridged styrofoam with the word “welcome” prominently emblazoned across its side.

The colors are so “kitsch fish” but the most outstanding thing about this is the fact that it’s sculpted out of that most elegant of carving substances, Styrofoam.

This is amazing and I’m wondering where one would put this if this was sitting in someones home? It looks so lonely sitting there all by itself and I love how the fins serve as a stand.
