I have the same mug but instead of the green it’s red. I collect Hopalong stuff – I have paper party plates, a can of popcorn and a couple of pencils as well – but love the mug because I can actually use it. This one looks like it’s in pristine condition. I hope you talk with milk out of it often.

As you know, this mid-century ‚Äúadvertising‚Äù milk mug depicts actor William Boyd as “Hoppy” shooting a bad guy. It was produced by the Hazel Atlas company for Big Top Peanut Butter. Unfortunately, his right hand seems frozen in the sign of universal road rage. Nevertheless, he‚Äôs been part of the landscape of my home since I was a wee lad.

that’s funny…it does have a bit of a road rage vibe to it…hahaha…someone threw a shoe (or some kind of heavy shoe-esque object) at my car the other day on the highway when i was driving to allee’s…

I have a huge collection of Hazel Atlas Astro Space Mugs and use them every day: makes me feel like Barbarella. I also have the complete set of Hazel Atlas Indian Mugs that are maroon with the Indians Sitting Around the Campfire or Galloping On the Plains drawings knocked out in white. Someone on eBay called them racist, but I don’t know why.
