One Response to “Short & Sassy”

Though Dorothy Hamill was the spokesperson for Short ‘n Sassy it doesn’t look like her contract held out quite long enough for her to grace all the labels.

Hamill’s Olympic hair indeed rescued the world from Farrah’s feathery whisps but it seemed like her style was no style at all. My hair was anything but short and sassy at that time so nothing like this ever got close to it.

What I love most about 70’s shampoos was that the names jumped from basic things like Prell and Halo to describing the hair itself (Short & Sassy) or some dumb expression of how wonderful you’d feel when you experience the results of the product after it soaked into your follicles (Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific being my favorite).
