This scissor-catcher is quite polite, it even says “please.” The cute little mushrooms go good in the kitchen, though I’m sorry to say the scissors often don’t get put back in the rack.
This scissors rack hits the mark in several different key kitsch areas. A) How flat it is despite the fact that a scissors is shoved into it. B) That ridiculously frilly frame around it. C) The little poem about a scissors. D) The fact that SCISSORS and BACK are the only words that are capitalized despite them not being the rhymes. And E last but not least) the fact that mushrooms have popped up on it because mushrooms were all the craze when this was probably made. I’m guessing 1970’s but there’s always a market for this kind of kitsch so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a product that some crafts crazy person turned out today.
