    As you probably know these lady head vases, especially from the 40’s and 50’s, are very collectible. I love how flat her hat is as well as the pose of her hands. It’s great that the eyelashes are intact and even greater than her eyes are closed to show them off.

    This one is pretty, I like her hands. These are always very expensive around here, I only have one little one, I’ve never seen one for cheap (except for the one I bought!)

    She’s lovely. I like the rose buds on the hat and the dress too. For all those looking for a head vase, one just may appear…cheap.
    Last year a went to a yard sale with new stuff. People were walking away before exploring further. Right out in the open in the garage was a wonderful head vase with no price. I inquired, she said make an offer, I said $1.00 yes $1.00! She said OK. So, never be afraid to offend…it just might be accepted.

    My one secret is to never “act excited” when we see something we are interested in. It works sometimes. I was gobsmacked when the lady just gave me these two vases. I could kick myself for not rescuing the ones my Mother got rid of! ARGH!
