Build a model airplane…

Submitted by MyFunCloset May 4th, 2010

Yesterday’s rummage sale find. When the doors opened the first 5 went left, so I went right. The choice pickin’ were slim. This 1960’s era model airplane kit just may have been the oldest item on the tables. At $1.00 I couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully all the pieces are here. I’m passing this on to a friend who has a dozen planes hanging throughout his country house. What patience it takes to build from a kit.

I love model kits but never had any skill in putting them together. I have patience for many things but fitting together a lot of parts that look alike and following written instructions is absolutely not my forte.

I probably would have picked this up too. Some of the things I’m most attached to I just picked up because they were cheap at rummage sales. Only when I pulled them out years later did I realize I had made an unbelievable score with something I was just not ready to appreciate yet at the time.

If I were to tackle this kit, nothing would be symetric
and I would use lots of colors in the rainbow.
