ET was THE star back in 1982. This issue is chocked full of interesting articles & personalities. Great photos on “Peace concert” June 1982 in LA. with Dylan & Baez. Allee were you there in the crowd?

I’m neither an ET or Spielberg fan so this one, although definitely trendsetting and massive, leaves me a little cold.

I don’t go to concerts, even when it’s my own music, so I also most definitely wasn’t at the Peace Concert. I don’t like crowds, don’t want anyone standing up in front or next to me blocking my view and definitely don’t want to hear anyone else singing other than who’s on stage. The only time I’ve seen Dylan was at his house or mine.

And you still accepted this post? I promise I will never submit any of the above…ever. Did you say HIS house? MY house?

Yes, still accepted the post. I don’t really not like ET; I just didn’t go crazy over it like most everyone else did. Spielberg, on the other hand, I don’t like. I’m always bothered by people who are known as magnanimous who can be very stingy in spirit. Enough on that topic…

And, yes, I did say His house and MY house re Dylan. We worked together in the 80’s and spent time at each other’s places. We also shared a love for scrap metal. My father was in the scrap business. The first time I went out to Bob’s place in Malibu I saw these giant piles of scrap metal laying around. Turns out he absolutely loved welding. I was making a lot of furniture at the time and had just bought welding gear. So we shared a lot of other interests besides music. He was a big fan of my collection and oftentimes would just walk around the house by himself long enough that we never got to writing.
