I was shopping at Ralphs grocery market and I saw these happy, sunny, faces smiling at me. They are real sunflowers with googley eyes and pipe-cleaner mouths. How could you not take these home!?

I LOVE stuff like this. Just a bunch of simple flowers that someone couldn’t leave alone. I love that the cellophane has happy faces on it too.
I relate to these sunflowers so much more after having co-written The Color Purple musical. Every time I look at the sunflower now I think of a big field of purple flowers.
