Denver Art Museum Clean up tools

The things people create are fascinating to me, from the obscure to the mundane. This piece is visible from South Broadway on the east side of the Denver Art Museum. I don’t know who the artist is, but drivers by as well as pedestrians get an eyeful of something different.

And if one pans back, you can see the Denver Art Museum has that “lose an eye” architectural look.

I always marvel at sculptors who get away with stuff like this. I would’ve saved myself a whole lot of time as an artist if I just looked at an object and said I want to make a giant one of these. I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of this kind of stuff because it all just seems too easy but, then again, their work is in front of institutions like the Denver Art Museum… Perhaps if I had spent more time cleaning my house I would’ve had more inspiration!
