Seamen’s Bank for Saving was a popular local bank in NYC decades ago. It was only natural to create a sailor as a savings bank. He’s about 6″ high.

He’ssoooo 1940’s. I love him schlepping his laundry. Also really love his hairstyle.
The shape of this thing as a bank is really unique though it seems like it would be a total pain in the butt to have to shake all the money out of it with all the twist and turns in the ceramic.
