Two knitted flower coasters for 50 cents. How on earth will a glass stand on a pile of yarn and NOT fall over? Why do people make things like this, to pass the time?

Of course the great thing about this is that the yarn makes a lumpy surface making these SO impracticable for the use they were sold to serve. I’m thinking that these weren’t made to be coasters so much as little sections to be stitched together for a quilt, vest or shawl, especially as they don’t have any cork lining the back of them. But excellent kitsch use of them as coasters!

Geez you are spot on! Sometimes the excitement of it all kicks me in the ass and I don’t examine the kitsch properly. I can’t imagine sitting a cocktail on these.
They did make me laugh though!
