Imagine my delight when I found a companion for my Logan Rock Gardening Gnome, also its from Mevagissey home of the Piskie Garden. I was beside myself, and knocked several people over in the rush to purchase it for the grand sum of ¬£1. How delightful they look together, one with a shovel and one with a spade…

A very beautiful gnome set! And excellent photos!

I’m partial to little sculptures made out of seashells to begin with. Are these old or are they making them brand-new in Piskie Garden? And what are Mevagissey and Logan Rock? Are they sections of the garden?

Im not sure how old they are, I must look into that, Ive not seen any on sale or mass produced on my Cornish travels, so I suspect they may be.

Logans Rock is in Cornwall. The rock is an eighty ton granite boulder perched on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic ocean, on a headland one mile south of the village. The rock is finely balanced due to the actions of weathering, and prior to its restoration in 1824 it could be rocked by applying only a little pressure.

    Ive not been there yet!

Mevagissey is a small fishing village in southern Cornwall, home to the Piskie Garden. Both shell gardens were not found in Cornwall but here in Wiltshire.
