I’m not into Chickens but felt it neccesary to photograph this display after turning and knocking one over. I don’t know what was funnier, me knocking over a chicken or the old lady behind the counter gasping as if the world was going to end because of my clumsiness. Chickens scare me.

Any chicken in Southwest Louisiana is not safe around Cajuns during Mardi Gras as there are “runs” where chickens are chased and much alcohol is consumed. Those unlucky enought to get caught end up in the gumbo pot. Mmmm, eat more chicken…..

I had a baby chick when I was little named “Cha-Cha”. When it grew it freaked my mother out and we had to get rid of her. She went to a local farm in Eagleville, PA. Ah, Cha-Cha…..
