This little yellow Solid State Arrow® AM transistor radio provided me and my cousins the soundtrack for our summer of ’76 (or was it ’77? 75?). I distinctly remember listening to “W- eNNNNN- BC” in NY and groovin to hits like “Swearin’ to God,” “Shake Your Booty” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” I’ll have to procure a 9V battery one of these days and see if it still works.

I LOVE transistor radios and still collect them whenever I see them cheap enough. I still have my original Sony, which came out in the late 50’s when transistor radios first came out.
This little yellow Arrow is so stone cold iconic of its time. They were really built to last so I’m pretty sure if you pop a 9 V battery in it will play loud and clear!
