I just looked this up. Made from 1955 to 1964. It’s absolutely the best looking vehicle I’ve ever seen and to say that I would do almost anything to own it is an understatement!!!

So this was just parked somewhere? Which means that someone is currently driving it. I wonder where you even get something like this serviced?

    How cute are those hubcaps?!

Do the doors lift up? It almost looks like they continue all the way around the front and back.

If this was currently in production I’d be on my way to Germany now.

Oh my! The video is glorious! Like you I´m totally obsessed with this car, I SOOO want one!

My hubby´s biggest passion are oldtimers and frequently changes his vehicles. He uses to buy the latest object of his desire, drives it for about one year and is then changing it for another jewel. His goal is to drive every oldie he loves at least for a while, and because we don´t have a cash cow he´s practising his collector’s passion this way. One day I will take time to make an own post with his recent cars.

He use to go on a lot oldtimer-meetings and that is where I always spot those incredibly cute Messerschmidt´s. They use to come in the most adorable candy colors, always remind me of little vintage spaceships and after I´m a very small person these cars are just like made for me. I once climbed in one and felt like in heaven!

The entire top lifts up, to sit in you open it like a cookie jar, services are done in special oldtimer garages, we have several of them here in our area.

I love it. The color is great! It looks like the streamline wheel covers are held on by a single nut in the center of the hub, which is a detail that I find intriguing too.
