My Mac Plus Computer 1986…

My very first computer. An artist friend had one first. With the click of the mouse, he changed Helvetica into Times Roman….10 point into 12 point…it was a miracle. The price was an astonishing $2500 including a dot matric image writer and an external port. Just 1 meg of memory, a small 6″x9″ screen, and oh yes, only a black and white image. This was cutting edge. At the time a black and white laser printer was $6000. Too steep for my pocket. The year, 1986. Though I stopped using it around 1995. Time to sell it don’t you think!

Makes me nuts to look at this as I owned the same computer that I got in 1985. For some reason, my computers are one of the only things that I didn’t save. I guess not only because they took up so much room but because I would replace them because they got so frustrating to use. But I, as you, started very early. And I updated frequently and got all of the latest gadgets. So had I saved everything I would have had quite the history of the personal computer.

I don’t think you should sell it if at all possible. It’s literally the computer that started the revolution among the public.

I can hear the sound of that keyboard now. Back when the keys made a huge plunk.
