Lions Of Bath was a public art event in Bath in 2010, they were decorated by a range of artists from all over the world and at the end of the summer were sold and raised over £65,000 for charity. My favourite is the Lion made from Scrabble Tiles.

I’ve used Scrabble pieces in a lot of my art but never with this intensity.
I wish that the artist had gone for making words as opposed to just slapping the letters on there. Not to diminish the task of making a Scrabble lion. Maybe they ARE words in some language…?
Mr. Lion looks a little dog-like.

I was thinking the same thing about spelling out words, then I started to see some after all. Above one eye is “quiver and shake” and above the other “look into my eyes”. Down the nose is “spectacular” and “unbelievable”.
