Kitchen Towel for our Pennsylvania Dutch Kitsch-Inn!

I bought one of these “hand made” hand towels 2 summers ago at the Pennsylvania Gift Haus at my fave PA roadside attraction Roadside America but was appalled when Retro Roadhusband actually used it and got it all dirty! Nevermind, it was a good excuse to travel up there to pick up another one:

I call it “hand made” because the woman at the shop doesn’t really make the towels, but she does crochet the tops on them so you can hang them near where you might want to dry your hands. Like on the handle of our 1950s diswasher that doesn’t work! I have told RRH he’ll have to use the plain old towels hanging from the stove handle for wiping his hands, as this Hex couple is just too cute for words – or dirt!

I’ve never seen such a construction to hang a towel! The whole knitted thing and button is absolutely killing me.

Never would I have thought that I would give a Camembert to anything Pennsylvania Dutch or a towel but that ‘handle’ is so extreme that I’m piling the cheese on.

Bad boy, RRH. What was he thinking??!

I can’t believe you have never seen these! My mom and grandma have made about a million of them… I can make them too but I’m mostly too lazy. If anybody wants one my mom can make you one, haha.. but probably a different towel print. I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t have them hanging all over the house to dry stuff on.
