Water Retaining Salt & Pepper Shakers

These bizarre little figures stand about one inch and a half off the ground and are salt and pepper shakers. I was told they’re from Germany and made in the 1920’s. Don’t know if they’re babies, elves, kewpie dolls or creatures from hell, but they’re a constant reminder that too much salt causes bloating.

I love how the girl S&Ps hands droop down and hang there like little worms. Being as small as they are they were probably meant as individual S&Ps, a different pair for each diner.

I can relate to ballooning out below the waist. I only wish it was only water as opposed to worship of junk food that was causing the expansion.

Bloating! Doug! I am laughing so hard over that comment. I do love these little pieces and would have snatched them up too!
