Who knew Barbie even had a sister? She’s the one with the wholesome wardrobe. I love the vibrant designs of the the very early 70’s. The detail of the doll clothing is complete, right down to the zipper and snap . Part of a yard sale find along with Ken. Both have a few outfits too. Look for Ken with the hippie outfit.

I know so little about Barbie’s world mainly because it had names like Barbie and Skipper in it. It all felt very country club and I was always more interested in funkier parts of town. But I do think that Skipper has a very fine mod outfit on here. I love the cap especially.
Ken’s feeling very groovy at https://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/2010/06/29/kens-feelin-groovy/

Geez, there’s my Skipper doll circa 1970. I played w/that slicker and rain hat for more years then I’d care to admit. I loved my Barbies.

I’m going to have to speak up and say this is Malibu Barbie, not Skipper.

I’m glad we have a Barbie expert. Thanks, Nessa! I know absolutely zero about Barbie.

Whoever she is, she lived in my white vinyl Barbie case.

Time to snap a picture of your Barbie case and accessories. Great that you have kept the collection safe all these years.

Since I played with my Ginny doll, who also had a wardrobe collection, a few years earlier and not Barbie and company I was misinformed. Thank you for the correction.

Just saw this great UK Esquire Magazine fashion spread for Ken. I thought you might enjoy seeing this if you collect Ken and Allen.
They really went all out, Ken’s wearing Gucci and Prada…i know
