I can’t quite figure out what the translucent pink material is on this pin and earrings set – I’m guessing some kind of plastic but I really don’t know. Suffice it to say that it is extremely fragile (I’m surprised it’s only got the one major hole in it!)

It’s incredible how the color changes when it’s held up to the light. Is the petal material some kind of tight mesh?

The blue edges of the petals are enameled metal with the whatever-it-is solid pink material glued? on underneath each petal. Definitely not mesh. It almost feels like rice paper, but then again, not.
I haven’t worn this one as I’m deathly afraid of doing any more damage.
