Another bargain from a local flea market. Stands about 8 inches tall. I love that someone wrote down where they got this hound. Atlantic City is supreme when it comes to travel souvenirs!

Not only did they write down that they got it from Atlantic City but in 1944 when AC was in its prime.
I really love that they signed the bottom of the dog as it was an actual manufacturers mark.
I love hound dogs. They’re so ripe for interpretation in any medium.

He’s a pretty amazing hound dog. What makes me really in love with this is where it came from. I still have memories when Atlantic City was still the place to go. I can’t even imagine how fabulous it was in the 40’s. I have many family pictures that I posted here that are from the days of AC. They are from the 30’s and 40’s.
